Croque Monsieur with Camembert Sandwich

At a glance
1 Ile de France Camembert
16 slices of bread
8 thin slices of Bresaola (air dried beef)
1 belle tomato 1 handful of arugula
Freshly ground pepper


Arrange slices of Grison Beef on 8 slices of bread. Cover with thin slices of camembert. Top with 4 fresh slices of tomato and arugula. Cover with the remaining 8 slices of bread.

Preheat oven to 400°. Bake 15-18 min on a paper-lined plate. When ready, top with a thin slice of camembert and bake again for a few minutes.

Serve with a salad of red and yellow cherry tomatoes, seasoned with shallots.

Additional Tips

Toast the bread longer for more crunch. You may use a toaster for a crispier texture.

If you cannot find bresaola at your local store, use roast beef, preferably cured with black pepper.
