Here is a quick and easy guide to cutting cheese – and don’t forget to use a clean or new knife for each one.

HOW TO CUT WHEELS AND ROUNDS:

This is an easy one – it is just like cutting a cake! Cut even-sized wedges starting from the centre to the outer edge. Pro tip: start by cutting the wheel in half first. It will make it much easier to create similar sized pieces.

HOW TO CUT A WEDGE OF SOFT CHEESE:

Right, so you have a wedge of Brie. Work backwards from the point, slicing towards the rind or outer edge.

HOW TO CUT PYRAMID AND SQUARE SHAPED CHEESE:

This is also pretty simple – cut into triangles or wedges, starting from the centre.

HOW TO CUT ROQUEFORT:

Cut Roquefort into triangles beginning from the lower end of the wedge. Remember, the first cut should be a corner.
