Super (Flavor) Bowl Party

When it comes to Super Bowl gatherings, it's not just the big game that counts.

If you're hosting a Super Bowl party, it's time to make a game plan for serving fun and tasty snacks!

After all, not everyone loves football, but everyone loves food - and it's the festive and mouthwatering Super Bowl snacks that make the occasion special. When it comes to the Super Bowl Sunday, for many the game is an afterthought to the party.

So be sure to have all the necessities at your Super Bowl party:

- The menu should include full-flavored snacks that hold their own with wines, beer and other beverage you plan to have on hand. Check out our winter beer, liquor and red wine cheese pairing guides for ideas on festive beverages to serve.

- Create a casual, comfortable, and laid back atmosphere. Stick to easy-to-eat comfort type foods served in a convenient, functional way (think finger foods and other small items that don't require utensils).

- Set up a snack station on a table, counter or bar area where appetizers and other munchies can easily be self–served throughout the game. Quesadillas, pretzels, nachos, mini pizza, sliders, precut sandwiches, and of course, chips, nuts and small cuts of cheeses all are fantastic football fare.

- For a healthier option, serve a cheese and fruit platter that includes various sliced fruit and berries and a variety of fromages. For great cheese board serving ideas, check out our cheese board guide and cheese board recipes pages.

Our recipe archive features a wealth of delicious appetizers to choose from, many of which are perfect to serve during the big game. Check out our cheese appetizers and finger foods with cheese recipe pages for yards of great ideas!
