Ile de France Goat Cheese with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and the Perrin Cotes Du Rhone
Ile de France Goat Cheese with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and the Perrin Cotes Du Rhone
Michael Landis, our Cheese, Wine & Beer Expert introduces you to a series of Wine, Beer and Recipe pairings with the Ile de France Goat Cheeses. Michael explains the differences between French Goat cheeses made in the Rhone Alps and why it works so well with these wines and beers. Michael pairs up the goat cheese with the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and the Perrin Cotes Du Rhone.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale & Ile de France Goat Cheese
The Ile de France Goat cheese mellows out the hoppiness of the beer just slightly and brings a nice sweet balance to the beer. The Sierra Nevada Pale Ale tones down a little bit of the sharp tangy flavors of the Ile de France Goat cheese and brings the herb flavors of the cheese to a nice richness.

Perrin Cotes Du Rhone & Ile de France Goat Cheese
The Perrin Cotes Du Rhone is a light, rich wine that complements and does not compete with the tangy flavors of the Ile de France Goat Cheese. The big rich fruit flavors of the wine brings out the creamy and slightly tangy flavors of the Goat Cheese, which is a nice balance, while keeping the characteristics of this great French Goat Cheese.
