Ile de France Brie en CrouteA unique and truly gourmet take on Baked Brie

Our Brie en Croute is a great and easy way to enjoy Brie as a unique appetizer or dessert. It is our imported signature Brie topped with delicious chutney and wrapped in a crisp pastry. The bakery-style dough is golden and flaky and the all-natural chutneys are rich in fruit pieces and handmade in small batches.

Profile and Flavors

A warm Brie enveloped in a crispy, buttery and light pastry crust, Ile de France Brie en Croute is crafted with our imported signature Ile de France Brie, which is ultra creamy and never greasy when baked. Our Brie is rBST free and only our own fresh Cream of the Day is used to make the cheese: delivering a richer, fuller flavor. Beginning with a clean, fresh milky note, the deliciously creamy texture blooms into a rich, full flavor that ends with a hazelnut and light mushroom aftertaste.

Cranberry Chutney: fresh cranberries slowly cooked to perfection. Adding the sweetly tart flavor of cranberry to the Brie creates a great flavor contrast along with a lovely, colorful presentation.

Spiced Apple Chutney: a perfect mix of apple chunks & spices, for a true delight between savory & sweet flavors. The creamy Brie cheese melted over the citrusy, sweet and spicy apple chutney is a brilliant combination of flavors and textures.

Caramelized Onions: made from fresh onions, butter, herbs & a little bit of Dijon mustard and cooked slowly until reduced & caramelized to a golden perfection. The smooth cheese and caramelized onions are a delightfully savory pairing that becomes a mouthwatering appetizer in the bakery style pastry.

Preparation and pairings

To make a warm and creamy baked Brie delight simply place the Brie en Croute in a foil lined baking tray in a pre-heated 350-degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 5 minute before serving.

Wine pairings: For a truly gourmet indulgence, enjoy Brie en Croute with wine! Try a sweet port wine with our spiced apple and cranberry chutney varieties. A lively Chardonnay is an excellent companion for the caramelized onion Brie en Croute.

Serving suggestions: An ordinary salad is transformed into a delicacy by placing warm Brie en Croute with caramelized onions over green leaves with Dijon vinaigrette. Cranberry and Apple Chutney Brie en Croute are easy-to-make desserts when served warm and topped with honey.
