Cheese how to
Wellness
Lactose-intolerance
affects an astounding 30-50 million adults
and children in the U.S. to some degree. It
occurs when the body does not produce enough
of the enzyme needed to digest the sugar (lactose)
found in milk. Lactose is present in all cheeses;
however, certain cheeses -
such as Ile de France goat
cheese - have lower lactose content than
others, and may be easier to digest. Check
with your health-care professional to find
out whether goat"s milk cheeses are
right for you.
