Chaumes
PROFILE

Made from pasteurized cows milk, it is a great cheese to melt over hot potatoes or to be served as an appetizer with crackers or on fresh bread. Encased in a cedar wood box, Crémier de Chaumes is has a soft and creamy paste. Tradition says to consume it directly in its wooden box with a spoon.

PAIRING

Crémier de Chaumes is fabulous with a Domaine Ste Michelle Cuvee Brut because it has a delicate apple and citrus characteristics while balancing with a clean, crisp, full-bodied character. Any Brut that is not too dry and not too sweet would be a good pairing. If you prefer reds, the Nuit St. George compliments Crémier de Chaumes with its robust flavor and intense fragrance.
