Brie Cheese Croutons

It's often the little things that make a meal memorable. When it comes to salads, a great crouton can make all the difference.

Something as simple as replacing bland grocery store croutons with something homemade can be brilliant. Ile de France Brie is a great way to make croutons something to savor!

Here's two techniques to create the perfect Brie Cheese croutons!

- Slice ¼ pieces of French bread and place on a baking sheet. Bake about 4 minutes on each side, and rub garlic on one side of the crunchy bread. Then place a small slice of brie cheese on each piece of bread, and bake for another few minutes until melted. These special croutons are especially delicious when dropped into a hearty potato and leek soup, and would also be delicious in French onion soup. The brie cheese adds richness to the soup while the bread absorbs all that delicious broth.

- For a super cheesy brie crouton, try out this recipe (similar to a mozzarella stick!) Cut Ile de France Brie cheese into crouton-sized pieces and set aside. To prepare your croutons for frying, first dip the pieces of cheese into flour, egg wash, and breadcrumbs (in that order). Deep fry until golden brown, it should only take a few minutes. Serve these cheesy delights over a fresh salad.
