How to: Apple Turkey Paninis

Making great sandwiches is all about putting together a few simple, seasonal ingredients and featuring fresh, bold flavors. It's easy – especially when Ile de France Cheese brings the flavor!

November is the month of Turkey, and with Thanksgiving coming it's the perfect time to plan delicious turkey sandwich ideas. Apples are the classic fall fruit and pair splendidly with turkey. The sweet, crispness of apples are complemented by the rich, gamey flavor of turkey. Adding thick slices of Ile de France Brie Cheese instantly makes apple and turkey pairings true gastronomic delights. The trio is absolutely ideal for making Panini sandwiches – the melted Brie brings the turkey and apple together just right.

Use French baguette or Italian ciabatta for this sandwich. They'll develop a crunchy texture when grilled and won't get soggy.

Baguette or Ciabatta bread, sliced
3 oz. roasted turkey breast
2 oz. Ile de France Brie, cut into slices
Dijon mustard, to taste
¼ granny smith apple, sliced
Butter for outside of bread

1. Heat up panini press.

2. Spread Dijon mustard on the insides of the bread

3. Layer pieces of turkey, apples, and Ile de France Brie cheese onto bread.

4. Close sandwich; butter outside bread so it doesn't stick to grill.

5. Heat sandwich on panini press for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted.
