First up is Anne Coleman.
Anne is a trained chef, food writer, food photographer and recipe developer. She is the mother of 7 children and resides in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. In addition to her own blog, Cooking with Anne, she also writes A Thousand Soups and is a recipe developer and contributor at Disney’s Family.com and staff writer for Half Hour Meals.

How long have you been cooking and when / why did you develop a passion for food?

I’ve been cooking since I was very young – or at least trying to – and studied culinary arts when my two oldest children were 3 and 1. I graduated in 1994 and have been in the food industry in one way or another since then. To me food and family are nearly synonymous, it’s hard to have one without the other!

What do you like about French cheese?

French cheeses are so much more varied than people think, and each has a smoothness in flavor that isn’t as evident in other cheeses.

Favorite thing to serve at a party or family gathering?

I serve what I like and share it with others. You can’t go wrong with a favorite of your own, and people love to hear stories about food. I adore goat cheese and tapenade and try to turn everyone on to it. So far my kids are in love with it and sometimes I have to hide my portion!
