Ile de France Normandie Camembert tartlets with caramelized onions and granny smith apples

Ingredients
  • 8-10 ea. Prepared tartlet shells
  • 2 oz. butter
  • 1 Cup diced onion
  • 2 ea. Granny Smith apples
  • 8 oz. Ile de France Normandie Camembert
Instructions
  1. Pre heat oven to 400°F
  2. Place tartlet shells on sheet tray
  3. In a large sauté pan heat butter over medium high heat to melt
  4. Add onions and sauté until caramelized stirring frequently
  5. Meanwhile peel and dice Granny Smith apples
  6. When onions have caramelized and are golden brown remove from heat
  7. Spread a layer of caramelized onion on each tart shell
  8. Divide the diced apple among the tart shells
  9. Slice the Ile de France Normandie Camembert about ¼ inch thick
  10. Top each prepared tartlet with the cheese
  11. Place tartlet s in oven and bake for 5-8 minutes until cheese is slightly brown and bubbly
  12. Serve immediately
